済州島民の反対、反旗、反骨の精神をイメージソースとして、「済州4·3」を象徴する椿をモチーフとした追悼の意を込めた立体作品。長崎の五島列島で製造されている椿油を使ったキャンディを素材として、溶けたそのキャンディを無数の穴が空いた構造物の上部から滴らせ落下したキャンディの模様は自ずと反転している。キャンディは当時のアメリカ軍支配の状況を暗示させる。

제주도민의 반대, 반기, 반골의 정신을 이미지 소스로, 4.3 사건을 상징하는 동백을 모티브로 한 추도의 뜻을 담은 입체 작품. 나가사키의 고토 열도에서 제조되고 있는 동백 기름을 사용한 캔디를 소재로, 녹은 그 캔디를 무수한 구멍이 비어 있는 구조물의 상부로부터 떨어뜨려 낙하한 캔디의 모양은 스스로 반전하고 있다. 사탕은 당시 미군 지배 상황을 암시한다.

This sculpture is a memorial piece that uses the camellia motif, which symbolizes the April 3 Incident, and is inspired by the opposition, rebellion, and rebellious spirit of the Jeju people. The piece is made of candy made with camellia oil produced in the Goto Islands of Nagasaki, and the melted candy drips from the top of a structure with countless holes, causing the pattern on the candy to reverse naturally as it falls. The candy alludes to the situation under American military rule at the time.
